Qur’an Recitation for Beginners
Assalamu Alaikum and welcome! Masjid Ul Haqq is excited to offer a Qur’an Recitation Course designed to help men, women, and children build a strong and confident foundation in reciting the Qur’an.
Classes are kept intentionally small so students can receive personal instruction, correction, and support throughout the course.
Class Options
Choose the group that best fits you or your student. All listed groups are beginner level.
What Students Will Learn
Beginner students will learn the Arabic alphabet, proper pronunciation through Makharij, the fundamentals of Al-Qa’idah An-Nuraniyyah, and how to recite selected short Surahs with greater confidence and accuracy.
- Recognize and correctly pronounce the Arabic alphabet using the proper Makharij.
- Complete the lessons of Al-Qa’idah An-Nuraniyyah.
- Apply the rules of Al-Qa’idah An-Nuraniyyah while reading Arabic words and verses from the Holy Qur’an.
- Recite a selection of Surahs accurately and confidently.
- Demonstrate readiness to progress to the next level of Qur’an reading.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the beginner course, students should be able to:
- Recognize Arabic letters, their different forms, and their correct sounds.
- Apply Al-Qa’idah An-Nuraniyyah while reading Arabic words and Qur’anic verses.
- Recite the selected Surahs with 80–100% accuracy in pronunciation and basic Tajweed.
- Demonstrate correct pronunciation using the appropriate Makharij.
- Read simple Qur’anic passages independently with increased confidence.
Learning Resources
- Al-Qa’idah An-Nuraniyyah app, available on the App Store.
- Al-Qa’idah An-Nuraniyyah books will be supplied and must remain in class.
- The Holy Qur’an in Arabic.
- Instructional YouTube channel provided after registration.
- Notebook, ruler, and pencil.
Tuition is $60 per participant, per month and recurs until cancelled.
